September 28, 2018 (Agua Caliente) – The County of San Diego is offering two presentations at Agua Caliente County Park, including opportunities to learn more about bighorn sheep plus an “Agua after dark” habitat hike.

Desert Icons: Bighorn Sheep

7 – 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13

Join a ranger for a presentation about the endangered Peninsular bighorn sheep that call Agua Caliente home. View a variety of real skulls and glimpse rare images and videos of the local herd in action. Learn anatomy, traits, and fun facts that help make the bighorn worthy enough to be a park logo and namesake of the Borrego area. Meet at the clubhouse. Agua After Dark Habitat Hike

7:30 – 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27

Join park staff for trailcam footage and a leisurely stroll through Agua Caliente Campground. Visitors will learn about nocturnal wildlife, seek out frog and bat habitats, and participate in a pre-halloween scorpion search. Bring a UV flashlight if available, park supply is limited.
