September 3, 2016 (Los Angeles) - The Padres showed up their NL West rival last night and they looked to do so again tonight with Luis Perdomo on the mound against Rich Hill for the Dodgers.

Like last night, the bats stayed quiet until the fourth inning when Adrian Gonzalez singled to score Cory Seager and the Dodgers struck first again, taking a 1-0 lead.  Except it got a little worse this time.  Yasmani Grandal hit a three-run blast and the Dodgers quickly went up 4-0.

Homers kept coming; Josh Reddick homered in the sixth and the Dodgers went up 5-0.

Wil Myers got the Padres on the board in the eighth with a single that scored Luis Sardinas and the Dodgers led 5-1.  But that’s all they’d get as the Dodgers get their revenge in game two and win 5-1.

Game three, the finale, is tomorrow at 1:10 p.m.  Christian Friedrich will take the mound for the Padres against Jose De Leon.
