April 19, 2014 (Spring Valley)--A man wanted in connection with a crime spree in East County is now in custody. Kevin Knight (1/12/71) was arrested around 8:30 a.m. today (4/09/2014) near a Wendy's at the intersection of Campo Road and Spring Street in Spring Valley.
A deputy from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station responded to a call of a car burglary. When the deputy arrived, Knight ran away. The deputy caught up to Knight, but Knight resisted arrest. The deputy used a taser to gain compliance.
Knight will get a checkup from a hospital then be booked into Central Jail on robbery, home invasion robbery and car theft charges.
The Sheriff thanks the media and public for tips received.
