EAST COUNTY CRIME SPREE SUBJECT NOW IN CUSTODY

 

April 19, 2014 (Spring Valley)--A man wanted in connection with a crime spree in East County is now in custody. Kevin Knight (1/12/71) was arrested around 8:30 a.m. today (4/09/2014) near a Wendy's at the intersection of Campo Road and Spring Street in Spring Valley.

ASSAULT ARREST IN LAKESIDE FOLLOWING STANDOFF

April 7, 2014 (Lakeside) – Sheriff’s deputies have arrested Steve Nakho, 24, for allegedly assaulting a man with a stick, then chased the victim with a knife Sunday night.  The victim told police he fled from the assailant and sought help at a USA gas station on Woodside Avenue.

2 LA MESA MEN ARRESTED IN NATIONAL PORN RING SWEEP

January 5, 2013 (La Mesa) – La Mesa residents Robert Mckany, 36, and Richard White, 57, have been arrested as part of an international effort to break up child pornography rings and rescue young victims from predators.

Arrests of 245 suspects in 35 states have been made. In addition, 123 victims were identified and 44 have been rescued from their abusers.

LA MESA RESIDENTS HELP APPREHEND VEHICLE BURGLAR

 

June 19, 2012 (La Mesa)—On June 15 at 9 a.m., a resident in the 7400 block of Sturgess Avenue in La Mesa, observed a man burglarizing his vehicle. The victim realized his vehicle window had been broken and observed the suspect holding a screwdriver and stealing property from the vehicle. The victim called La Mesa Police as the suspect fled the scene on foot, jumping over fences and cutting through the back yards of residences.

LA MESA NEIGHBORS HELP APPREHEND BURGLARS

 
Trio of Santee Residents arrested 

June 14, 2012 (Santee) – Yesterday morning at 10:46 a.m., several neighbors in the 8700 block of Van Horn Street in La Mesa saw three people pull up in a car and park. One exited the car and rang the doorbell of a residence in an apparent attempt to see if someone was home. When no one answered, the male walked around to the rear of house. Several neighbors who witnessed this called the La Mesa Police Department.

May 7, 2012 (San Diego)--In the case of the city against the six gay rights activists who were arrested in August of 2010 for “blocking access” to the office where people get marriage licenses I cannot understand how you can justify the expense of continuing to attempt prosecution.
