September 12, 2023 (Los Angeles) - Last night was a rare fun, exciting game that the Padres actually won.  They tried to take the series tonight with Michael Wacha on the mound against Lance Lynn for the Dodgers.

Max Muncy hit a sac fly in the first to score Freddie Freeman and the Dodgers led 1-0 after one.  Freeman then launched a two-run jack in the second. Will Smith scored and the Dodgers led 4-0 after two.

Juan Soto scored on a sac bunt in the fourth by Trent Grisham, but Smith launched a three-run blast in the home half to deep center and L.A. led 7-1 after four.

Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo homer in the fifth and the Dodgers led 7-2 after five.

Chris Taylor singled in the seventh to score Smith.  James Outman hit a sac fly to score Muncy and the Dodgers led 9-2 after seven.

J.D. Martinez singled in the eighth to score two and in a mirror image of last night, the Dodgers evened the series with the Padres with an 11-2 win.
