ECM PADRES REPORT: DODGERS LEAVE PADRES IN DUST AT HOME

August 6, 2023 (San Diego) - Both the Padres and Dodgers went for two wins today.  Lance Lynn started for L.A. against Rich Hill.

Amed Rosario blasted a two-run homer immediately when the game began and the Dodgers led 2-0 after one.

 
Austin Barnes hit a sac fly in the second that scored Enrique Hernandez.  Freddie Freeman blasted a three-run homer and L.A. led 6-0 after two.
 
Gary Sanchez hit a solo homer in the third and the Dodgers led 6-1 after three.
 
Jake Cronenworth kept trying with a solo homer in the seventh and the Dodgers led 6-2 after seven.
 
Mookie Betts added on with a solo homer in the eighth and L.A. led 7-2 after eight.
 
Hernandez wasn’t done.  The former Red Sock lined an RBI double to left in the ninth and the Dodgers ran away with this one 8-2.

The rubber game tomorrow is at 1:10 p.m.  Tony Gonsolin starts for L.A. against Seth Lugo.
