May 10, 2023 (Minneapolis) - The Padres had a successful first day in Minnesoooota yesterday. They looked to take the series today with Seth Lugo on the mound against Pablo Lopez for the Twins.
Today, the Padres weren’t so lucky. Max Kepler hit a solo homer in the first and Carlos Correa doubled to score him in the third and the Twins led 2-0 after three.
But in the seventh, the Padres stormed right back with Juan Soto’s deep homer to right and Manny Machado’s sac fly in the eighth that scored Trent Grisham and sent us to extras.
Rougned Odor scored in the 10th, but Donovan Solano singled in the home half to score Willi Castro and we were tied at three, but Alex Kiriloff singled in the 11th to score Kepler and the Twins walked off the Padres 4-3 to even the series.
