ECM PADRES REPORT: HOMERS CARRY PADS PAST ROCKIES

September 7, 2019 (San Diego) - The Padres are back home taking on the Rockies.  Jeff Hoffman started for the Rockies against Joey Lucchesi.

Wil Myers broke the ice in the fifth with a solo homer just over the wall in right and the Padres led 1-0 after five.

 

Manny Machado added two more with a home run blast to right in the sixth.  The Padres carried the 3-0 lead to the end to beat the Rockies and even the series.

The finale is tomorrow at 1:10 p.m.  Peter Lambert starts for the Rockies against Eric Lauer.
