June 5, 2021 (San Diego) - The Padres once again made history last night with their 12th consecutive win at home, the longest in franchise history.  Tonight they tried to take the series, but it would be tough with Jacob deGrom on the mound for the Mets against Grossmont High alum and Padres sole no-hitter owner Joe Musgrove.
Tonight was a slow start, but in the fifth, Jose Peraza got things started with a solo homer to left.  Francisco Lindor did the same, but to right and the Mets led 2-0 after five.

In the sixth, the Mets loaded the bases with no outs and Jonathan Villar singled to score Kevin Pillar and the Mets led 3-0 after six.

Pillar added one more in the ninth on a single to right to score Lindor and the Mets were able to snag a game from the Padres with a 4-0 win.  The Padres move to 36-24.
