ECM PADRES REPORT: PADRES BREWED BY BREWERS

August 25, 2023 (Milwaukee) - After a fair home series, the Padres began a road trip and we all know how much fun those are.  It started in Milwaukee.  Yu Darvish started tonight’s game one against Brandon Woodruff for the Brewers.

William Contreras and Willy Adames hit RBI singles in the third that scored Brice Turang and Tyrone Taylor and Rowdy Tellez blasted a three-run homer and the Brewers led 5-0 after three.
 
Manny Machado hit a solo homer in the fourth and the Brewers led 5-1 after four.
Adames singled to score Carlos Santana and Tellez singled to score him in the seventh and Milwaukee led 7-1 after seven.
 
Gary Sanchez tried with a two-run homer in the ninth, but the Brewers stoned the Padres with a 7-3 win.

Game two is tomorrow at 4:10 p.m. and will be mlb.tv’s free game of the day.  Pedro Avila starts against Freddy Peralta for Milwaukee.
