July 20, 2023 (Toronto) - Maybe the Padres should replace the old Expos because they’re having more success in Canada than in America.  Today, they tried to sweep the Blue Jays with Blake Snell on the hill against Chris Bassitt for Toronto.

Jordan Luplow singled in the second to score Santiago Espinal and the Blue Jays led 1-0 after two.

Vlad Guerrero Jr. homered in the seventh and Alejandro Kirk belted a two-run homer in the eighth and the Jays avoided the sweep with a 4-0 win.
