August 17, 2019 (Philadelphia) - After losing game one last night to the Phillies of all teams, the Padres tried again today with Dinelson Lamet on the mound against Zach Eflin for the Phillies.

Scott Kingery kicked things off in the second for the Phillies with an RBI line drive double to left that scored Jean Segura.  Eflin worked some pitcher magic with a base hit back up the middle that scored Kingery and the Phillies led 2-0 after two.

The Phillies added more in the third with J.T. Realmuto’s solo homer to left that gave the Phillies a 3-0 lead after three.

The Padres got on the board in the fourth with Manuel Margot’s single to left that scored Ty France.  Josh Naylor tied the game with a line drive RBI double that scored Lamet and Margot and it was a new ballgame.

The Padres quickly took the lead on SDSU alum France’s line drive to right that scored Eric Hosmer.  Luis Urias lined it to right as well to score Hunter Renfroe and the Padres evened the series with a 5-3 win.
