September 25, 2023 (San Francisco) - After a great series at home, the Padres are gone for the rest of the season.  Their first stop is up in San Fran.  Blake Snell started tonight’s game one against Logan Webb for the Giants.

The Padres struck first early when Luis Matos couldn’t catch Manny Machado’s fly ball to left, allowing Xander Bogaerts to score and the Padres led 1-0 after one.

It looked like the Padres were going to get away with one run, but in the eighth, Michael Conforto, pinch-hitting, drove a ground ball to left with the bases loaded to score two and the Giants stunned the Padres with a come-from-behind 2-1 win.

Game two tomorrow is at 6:45 p.m.  Seth Lugo starts against Kyle Harrison for San Francisco.
