September 3, 2019 (Phoenix) - Last month of torture ahead as the Padres traveled to Phoenix to face the Diamondbacks. They've already lost game one, but would try again tonight with Ronald Bolanos on the mound against Merrill Kelly for the Dbacks.
The Diamondbacks got things started early again. After a leadoff triple by Ketel Marte, Josh Rojas singled to left to score him. SDSU alum Ty France bobbled a potential double play at second, allowing Rojas to score and give the Dbacks a 2-0 lead after one.
The Padres scored one in the ninth, but the Dbacks prevailed to take the series with a 2-1 win.
