July 2, 2023 (Cincinnati) - The Padres and Reds went for the series today.  Adrian Morejon started against Andrew Abbott for Cincy.

Spencer Steer broke the tie in the fourth with a two-run homer to center and the Reds led 2-0 after four.

Ha-Seong Kim hit a solo homer to left in the eighth and Fernando Tatis Jr. saved the day by doing the same, but it was too good to be true.  Tyler Stephenson knocked a two-run homer to right in the home half and the Reds led 4-2 after eight.

Jake Cronenworth tried to keep the Padres in it with a double to left in the ninth to score Gary Sanchez, but the Reds prevailed and took the series with a 4-3 win.
