March 31, 2023 (San Diego) - The Padres were embarrassed last night when they had plenty of good chances.  They tried again tonight against the Rockies with Denver native Kyle Freeland starting for Colorado against Nick Martinez.

Just like last night, the Rockies struck first.  Kris Bryant scored and Elehuris Montero singled in the first to score Charlie Blackmon and Colorado led 2-0 after one.

Chuck Nasty blasted a towering two-run homer to right in the fifth and the Rockies led 4-0 after five.

The Padres finally got on the board too late in the eighth with a sac fly to center from Xander Bogaerts that scored Ha-Seong Kim, but the Rockies soundly dropped the Padres with a 4-1 win.
