August 15, 2023 (San Diego) - Last night, the Orioles flew in and handed the Padres a loss.  They looked to rebound today with Jack Flaherty on the mound for Baltimore against Michael Wacha.

With the bases loaded in the first, Jake Cronenworth walked to score Ha-Seong Kim from third and Gary Sanchez blew the game wide open with a grand salami.  Manny Machado added on in the second with a double that scored two and the Padres led 7-0 after two.

Garrett Cooper added on in the fifth with a double that scored Xander Bogaerts.  New Padre Ben Gamel hit a two-RBI double and the Padres led 10-0 after five.

The Orioles finally got on the board in the seventh with a falling RBI single to center that scored Ryan O’Hearn by Cedric Mullins and the Padres’ shutout was gone, but they still ravaged the Os 10-3 (Austin Hays homer in the ninth, Gunnar Henderson RBI single) to even the series.
