April 3, 2017 (San Diego's East County) - Ford’s popular F-250 pickup trucks can shift into gear when parked and roll away, Ford Motor Company has announced.  The company is recalling 52,000 of these trucks.

The trucks in the recall were built in Kentucky between October 2015 and March 2017, and were sold across North America.

Ford is offering free repairs on automatic transmissions in the recalled vehicles.

In the meantime, owners of Ford F-250   6.2-liter model pickup trucks are advised to always use the parking brake to prevent parked vehicles from moving while in park.
