September 24, 2017 (San Diego) - Aztecs women’s soccer faced UNLV for the first time at home this season today.  Keep in mind that UNLV is the same team that gave the Aztecs a crushing defeat in the Mountain West playoff game last year. The Aztecs hoped for a better result today.

There was none.  After an even tilt in the first half, the Rebels scored the only goal of the game in the second half in the 52nd minute on a own goal from the Aztecs.  The Aztecs had several more good chances, but couldn’t capitalize and the Rebels were victorious again in a 1-0 win over SDSU.

The lady Aztecs go back on the road after a short home stint.  They’ll play Utah State first on Friday.  First tip is at 11:00 a.m.
