July 15, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State head women's soccer coach Mike Friesen announced his team’s 2019 schedule on Monday. The 19-game slate includes 11 regular-season games that will be played on the SDSU Sports Deck, as well as an exhibition match.

January 22, 2019 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women's soccer program is set to conduct an ID camp Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3, on the SDSU campus.

The ID camp, which will be led by head coach Mike Friesen and assistant coach Chassion Griggs, is designed for players to get maximum exposure in front of the Aztec coaching staff and allows attendees an opportunity to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental and advanced skills of soccer, an introduction to the tactical elements of the game, as well as exposing campers to the mental aspect of soccer.

October 26, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s soccer season came to a close with a 3-1 loss to New Mexico Friday evening.

After falling behind early, the Aztecs tied the match in the 26th minute on a Taylor Moorehead goal, but the Lobos tacked on two more to earn the 3-1 victory. The Aztecs finish the year with a 6-10-3 overall record and a 4-4-3 mark in Mountain West play, good for eighth place.

October 21, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State scored four goals in a 15-minute window in the second half to cruise past Air Force, 5-0, on a warm Sunday afternoon at SDSU Sports Deck. With the win, the Aztecs improved to 6-9-3 overall and 4-3-3 in the Mountain West.

October 19, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State struck for a goal in the sixth minute, but could not hold onto the lead in what ended in a 1-1 double-overtime draw with Colorado College on a warm Friday night at SDSU Sports Deck. SDSU watched its record move to 5-9-3 (3-3-3 Mountain West), while the Tigers escaped with a record of 8-5-2 (4-3-2 MW).

October 14, 2018 (Las Vegas) - San Diego State allowed two goals in the first 12 minutes and could not recover, falling at UNLV, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Peter Johann Memorial Stadium. The contest was SDSU’s final regular-season road outing of the year before it finishes with three straight home games.

October 12, 2018 (Reno) - San Diego State sophomore Mia Root sparked the Aztecs offensively, setting up a pair of goals in a 2-1 road victory at Nevada Friday night inside Mackay Stadium. The much-needed win moved SDSU to 5-8-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the Mountain West.

October 7, 2018 (San Diego) - The politically correct can’t complain today; ECM Sports is bringing you both men’s and women’s soccer from SDSU.  Yesterday, Aztec football narrowly defeated the Broncos 19-13.  The lady Aztecs would try to hand the orange and blue a double weekend whammy in two different sports.

October 6, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State twice had one-goal leads only to see them evaporate as it tied Utah State, 2-2, after 110 minutes Friday night at SDSU Sports Deck. The Aztecs move to 4-7-2 overall and 2-1-2 in the Mountain West, while the Aggies escape America’s Finest City at 2-9-1 (1-3-1 MW).

September 30, 2018 (Fresno) - San Diego State allowed a goal in the 87th minute and ultimately dropped a Mountain West road game to Fresno State, 2-1, Sunday afternoon at Soccer & Lacrosse Stadium. The Aztecs return home with a split of their road trip and fall to 4-7-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the MW.

September 29, 2018 (San Jose) - San Diego State freshman Taylor Moorehead scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute to lift the Aztecs to a 1-0 road win at San Jose State. SDSU improves to 4-6-1 overall (2-0-1 Mountain West), while the Spartans fall to 3-5-2 and 2-1 in league action.

September 23, 2018 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - San Diego State traveled to Fort Collins on Saturday after playing Friday night at home and finished its brief road trip with a 0-0 double-overtime draw at Colorado State. The Aztecs watched their record move to 3-6-1 (1-0-1 Mountain West), while the Rams ended the week at 3-4-3 (0-1-1 MW).

September 16, 2018 (San Diego) - ECM Sports got our first look at SDSU women’s soccer tonight.  Contrary to the men’s side, the lady Aztecs are struggling so far, sitting at 2-5.  Tonight would be no different as the Aztecs faced an always-tough opponent in the Bruins of No. 8 UCLA.

September 14, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State allowed a goal in the 81st minute and could not find the equalizer in the final nine minutes to fall, 1-0, to Pepperdine on a hot Friday afternoon at SDSU Sports Deck. The loss sent the Aztecs to 2-5 on the year, while the Waves moved to 3-5.

September 7, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s soccer team dropped a tough 5-2 decision to the University of San Diego in a non-conference road match Friday night at Torero Stadium. With the loss, the Aztecs slip to 2-4 on the year, while the Toreros raise their record  to 3-2-1.

August 31, 2018 (Berkeley) - San Diego State fell behind early and could not recover in what ended as a 3-1 road loss at California on Friday afternoon inside Edwards Stadium. The Aztecs drop to 1-3 on the year, while the Golden Bears improve to 3-1.

August 26, 2018 (Long Beach) - San Diego State took its first road trip of the season and suffered a tough 1-0 loss to Long Beach State Sunday night at George Allen Field. The Aztecs’ dropped to 1-2 on the year, while the 49ers improved to 3-1 in 2018.

August 24, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State fell behind early and cut its deficit in half right before intermission, but could not find the equalizer in the second period of a 2-1 home loss to Texas Tech. The Aztecs dropped their first game of the season to move to 1-1, while the Red Raiders won for the third time in three tries.

August 18, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State overcame an early dose of adversity and its resilience ultimately paid dividends in the end as it defeated New Mexico State, 1-0, in its season opener on Friday night atop SDSU Sports Deck. The Aztecs moved to 1-0 on the year, while the Aggies dropped to 0-1.

August 16, 2018 (San Diego) - With a new school year upon us, San Diego State football and women's soccer are gearing up for a new season.  Head coaches Rocky Long, Mike Friesen and baseball coach Mark Martinez (who recently signed a contract extension) and assistant football coach Jeff Horton joined the media today.

November 28, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s soccer seniors Stacie Moran and Aliyah Utush were named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-West Region Team. Moran landed on the first team, while Utush was a second-team selection.

November 10, 2017 (Los Angeles) - San Diego State dropped a 3-1 decision at second-seeded and fourth-ranked UCLA on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Championship. The loss ends the Aztecs’ season and the Mountain West champions finish with a record of 12-8-2.

November 4, 2017 (Las Vegas) - San Diego State senior forward Aliyah Utush posted a hat trick to lead the Aztecs past New Mexico 3-0 in the Mountain West championship game Saturday night in Las Vegas. The win sends SDSU to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2014.

November 2, 2017 (Las Vegas) - Second-seeded San Diego State used a 48th-minute goal by Aliyah Utush and a stellar defensive effort to dismiss third-seeded Boise State, 1-0, in the Mountain West semifinal round Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas. The win secured the Aztecs a spot in the MW championship game and upped their record to 11-7-2.
