October 6, 2022 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s soccer (5-3-5, 3-1-1 MW) defeated San Jose State (3-5-2, MW 2-2-1) 2-0 on Thursday evening at Snapdragon Stadium. An Emma Gaines-Ramos goal in the 86th minute earned the Aztecs the 2-0 win in front of a women’s soccer all-time attendance record crowd of 2,546.

September 29, 2022 (Colorado Springs) - San Diego State women’s soccer earned a dramatic comeback tie on Thursday evening with Colorado College, 3-3. The Aztecs trailed 3-0 at one point before scoring three unanswered to earn the 3-3 draw.

San Diego State women's soccer fell on Thursday night to No. 1 UCLA 2-0, at Wallis Annenberg Stadium. The Bruins scored in the 41st minute and in the 53rd minute in the win.

Early in the match, UCLA (7-0-0) and San Diego State (2-2-4) felt each other out, with neither team able to find the back of the net. Both Denise Castro and Emma Gaines-Ramos had shots in the first half. Gaines-Ramos tested the keeper from distance in the 19th minute, but her shot was saved by the UCLA keeper. The Bruins did not trouble Alexa Madueno in goal until later in the half when she made two stops in the 25th and 26th minutes to keep the game level. However, it was late in the first half when UCLA grabbed the opening goal in the 41st minute. Sunshine Fontes found Ellie Wallburch who found her way in on goal and shot a left-footed shot into the top left corner of the goal to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead heading into the halftime break.

September 4, 2022 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s soccer continued their three match homestand with a 2-2 draw on Sunday night against the visiting UC San Diego Tritons on the Sports Deck. Goals from Logan Nidy and a penalty from Kiera Utush earned the Aztecs the draw.

The Waves scored two goals in each half in the win.

August 28, 2022 (Malibu) - San Diego State women’s soccer fell 4-0 on Sunday afternoon against No. 14 Pepperdine at Tari Frahm Rokus Field. The Waves scored two goals in each half in the win.

July 13, 2022 (San Diego) - Aztec head women's soccer coach Mike Friesen has released San Diego State's 2022 schedule. The 20-game schedule features nine contests at the SDSU Sports Deck, a match at Snapdragon Stadium, and 10 roads matches this fall.

October 21, 2021 (San Diego) - Coming off a pair of tough double overtime decisions last weekend, a 0-1 loss at Fresno State and a 0-0 tie at San Jose State, the San Diego State women’s soccer team was in need of a win and got it in the form of a 1-0 victory over the Air Force Falcons on Thursday night on the SDSU Sports Deck.

October 8, 2021 (Las Vegas) - In what was an evenly played match on Friday night, senior forward Anna Toohey was the difference, as her 91^st minute goal gave the San Diego State women’s soccer team a 1-0 overtime victory over the UNLV Rebels.

August 26, 2021 (Moraga, Calif.) - Freshman Denise Castro scored the first goal of her college career and staked the San Diego State women’s soccer team to a 1-0 lead in the 34^th minute, but after having a player sent off in the 66^th minute, the Aztecs surrendered a pair of goals to the Saint Mary’s and lost its game 2-1.
