March 29, 2019 (La Mesa) – Chief Walt Vasquez is celebrating his upcoming fourth anniversary as La Mesa's top cop. He posed for a picture with Marine Corps Medal of Honor recipient, Kyle Carpenter, and two of his officers@LaMesaPD, on Twitter, stating, “Thank you for your service and sacrifice sir!!”
