February 15, 2016 (San Diego) - The last time San Diego hosted the MLB All-Star Game, it was in 1992.  Qualcomm Stadium was still Jack Murphy Stadium and George H.W. Bush was president.

But now the All-Star Game is back in San Diego and this time, it will be held in the heart of downtown at Petco Park.  The All-Star FanFest at the Convention Center will be from July 8 to July 12.  On July 10, it's All-Star Sunday at the ballpark, featuring the All-Star Futures Game and the Celebrity Softball Game.

That's not what everyone looks forward to about All-Star time, though.  The Home Run Derby will be held on Monday, July 11 and the All-Star Game will be held on Tuesday, July 12.
