July 31, 2016 (San Diego) - While you were hopefully at our Roaring 20s party at San Pasqual Winery, the Padres were wrapping up their series against the Reds.  Paul Clemens started for the Padres against Homer Bailey for Cincy.

The Padres got off to a good start.  Wil Myers grounded out in the first, scoring Travis Jankowski and the Padres took a 1-0 lead.

But in the second, Jose Peraza knocked a two-run homer and the Reds took a 2-1 lead.

In the sixth, Tucker Barnhart singled, scoring Adam Duvall and the Reds extended their lead to 3-1.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, Jabari Blash walked, scoring Myers and the Padres cut the lead to one, 3-2.  But that would be all the rallying that would happen.  The Reds take the series three games to one.

The Padres start August with a home stand against the Milwaukee Brewers tomorrow night at 7:10.
