May 24, 2023 (Washington, D.C.) - The Padres ended the Nats in fine fashion last night.  They looked to take the series tonight with Ryan Weathers on the mound against Trevor Williams for Washington.

The Padres weren’t so lucky tonight.  Keibert Ruiz singled in the second to score Stone Garrett, Alex Call hit a two-RBI double and Luis Garcia hit a sac fly to score him and the Nationals led 4-0 after two.

The Padres came back a little bit in the fourth with Rougned Odor’s two-run homer, but Lane Thomas doubled in the home half to score Call and the Nats led 5-2 after four.

Ha-Seong Kim tried a homer, but the Nats stole one back and evened the series with a 5-3 win.
