April 18, 2020 (Jacumba Hot Springs)  - Photographer Debbie Merrill writes, “While on a `Sanity drive’ on Easter Sunday, we spotted a small group of Desert Bighorns below Desert View Tower on the boulders along the highway. I was able to get quite a few pictures before they moved over the ridgeline.  Easter lambs!”

Awww! Aren't They Cute!

Exciting to see any Bighorns, but especially when they're with their young!   Glad to know they're still roaming around out there in that area.   Whenever we've seen them in the past it's always been an unexpected treat!   Thanks for sharing!

Wildlife

Hi Debbie. You were so fortunate to see the Bighorn Sheep and get some pictures. Me and my Dad were collecting chacedony roses in the Turtle Mountains and found the horns of a sheep in a small sheltered spot on a cliff. I wonder if the old ram was sick or old and knew it was time to find a place to die.

I wish I still had them, Dad sold them at a yard sale. likely it's not legal to possess them.
