September 28, 2016 (San Diego) - Hunter Renfroe is officially a big leaguer after hitting two homers--one a grand slam--that led to the Padres’ 7-1 win over the Dodgers last night.  Tonight was a new game, though.  Jose De Leon started for the Dodgers against Luis Perdomo.

The Padres weren't so lucky tonight; Chase Utley homered in the bottom of the first for the Dodgers to take a 1-0 lead.  Adrian Gonzalez followed that up with a homer of his own to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead.

But the Padres didn't let them get away; Hunter Renfroe singled to score two and the Padres tied the game at two.  Ryan Schimpf doubled to score Renfroe and the Padres jumped out in front 3-2.

But the former paste Gonzalez tied it up again with a double that scored Corey Seager and we were knotted up at three.

But guess who came through again?  Renfroe.  He hit a two-run homer in the third and the Padres led 5-3.

Joc Pederson laughed in his face in the fourth with a two-run homer of his own to tie the game at five.

Wil Myers didn't take offense to that.  He grounded out in the Padres’ half of the fourth to score Manuel Margot to take a 6-5 lead for the Padres.  They’d hang with a great close out by Brandon Maurer to win the game and the series.

Tomorrow night’s game is an hour earlier at 6:10.  Will start against Christian Friedrich.
