September 25, 2015 (San Diego)--Bob Estabrook walked into the back of his RV to clean up one afternoon last fall. He and his wife, Sally, were staying at a campground near Julian. Within 15 minutes, Sally, who was 75 years old and diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, had disappeared.

BODY FOUND IN JULIAN CONFIRMED TO BE MISSING WOMAN SALLY ESTABROOK

November 27, 2014 (Julian)—A body has been found about a half mile from Pinezanita Campground, where Sally Estabrook vanished on October 4th.  Estabrook, who suffered from Alzheimer, triggered a massive search involving search and rescue teams from across Southern California. The Medical Examiner has confirmed that the deceased is Estabrook.

Yesterday afternoon, deputies responded to a radio call of a deceased person found in heavy shrubbery just off the roadway in the 200 block of Coulter Ridge Road in Julian.

SHERIFF SEEKS SURVEILLANCE VIDEOS AS SEARCH FOR MISSING WOMAN IN JULIAN CONTINUES

 

Update October 8, 2014:  The search for Sally Estabrook continues.  A witness reported seeing someone resembling her Monday walking near mile marker 15.  A dog search team and helicopters with night-vision goggles have joined in the search.

October 6, 2014 (Julian) – Take a look at these newly-released photos of 75-year old Sally Estabrook, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and has been missing since Saturday, October 4th  from the Pinezanita RV Park & Campground on Highway 79.  Dozens of Sheriff’s Search and Rescue volunteers have joined professional search teams from across Southern California.

The Sheriff is asking anyone with surveillance video (home or business) from the day she disappeared to come forward, in hopes of finding clues.

Estabrook’s husband discovered she was missing after he finished taking a shower around 4 p.m. Saturday.  The search has been going on ever since then.  On Monday, the search area was expanded to five miles outside of the campground.

SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR MISSING ALZHEIMER’S PATIENT IN JULIAN

 

 

October 5, 2014 (Julian)-- Sheriff's Search and Rescue has been activated in an effort to find a 75-year old woman with Alzheimer's who walked away from a campground in Julian.

Sally Estabrook was last seen Saturday, October 4th, around 4:00 p.m. at the Pinezanita RV Park & Campgrounds in the 4400 block of Highway 79. When Estabrook's husband finished taking a shower, he noticed she was gone.
