SDSU 4X400M RELAY TEAM QUALIFIES FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

May 25, 2019 (Sacramento) - The Aztec 4x400m relay team qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships after running the relay in 3:33.48, the second-best time in school history and the fastest since 1985.

The team of Sakura Roberson, Lisa-Anne Barrow, Jalyn Harris and Nyjari McNeil had the sixth best time of the evening and now the Aztecs will send a 4x400m relay team to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the second straight year. Prior to last year, SDSU hadn’t had a 4x400m relay team qualify for nationals since 2006.

Sophomore Callista Fletcher also was competing Saturday evening. She finished the 200 meter dash in 23.69, but did not qualify for the NCAA Championships

UP NEXT

The Aztecs 4x400m relay team and pole vaulter Bonnie Draxler will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Tex. June 6 and 8.
