Delaney Gallagher qualified for the final round of platform competition with 18th place finish

March 7, 2018 (Flagstaff) - A trio of San Diego State divers were in action on the final day of the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships on Wednesday, including sophomore Delaney Gallagher, who reached the final round of platform competition with a preliminary score of 209.20.

Gallagher finished her day with an 18th-place finish, tallying a total score of 406.75 on the day, being the lone Aztec and one of just five Mountain West student-athletes to reach the finals.

 

Also in action for SDSU was Emily Reed (179.25) and Nicole Dutton (155.85), who recorded a 33rd and 37th place finish in the preliminary round, respectively.

 

A pair of Aztecs from the swimming and diving team now look towards the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio from March 14 – 17. Courtney Vincent qualified for the 100 butterfly, while on the diving board, Alexandra Caplan reached the national meet for the second consecutive year on the 3-meter board.
