Aztecs will host three meets this season

February 10, 2021 (San Diego) - Head coach Shelia Burrell has released the San Diego State track and field schedule for the 2021 outdoor season. The Aztecs will compete in eight meets (three at home) before beginning their postseason competitions. San Diego State joins other Mountain West programs with foregoing the indoor season.
The Aztecs begin the season February 25 with a head-to-head meet at home against the University of Utah.
After competing at UCSD’s San Diego Collegiate Challenge on March 6, the Aztecs will host their annual Aztec Invitational March 25-27.
San Diego State’s final home meet will be April 7 for the Mountain West Challenge where they will host UNLV, Nevada and Oregon State.
The Aztec heptathletes will compete at the Bryan Clay Heptathlon (Azusa Pacific) April 9-10 while the rest of the team competes in UC San Diego’s Triton Invitational (April 10).
SDSU will close out the regular season with the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 15-16) and the Steve Scott Invitational (April 30-May 1) at UC Irvine.
The Mountain West Outdoor Championships will once again take place in Fresno, Calif. May 12-15.
Those that qualify for the NCAA West Prelims will be competing at Texas A&M May 27-29 and the NCAA Championships will be June 9-12 at the University of Oregon’s recently renovated Hayward Field.
The Aztecs had their outdoor season interrupted in 2020 after only one week of competition. SDSU took second in the Mountain West Indoor Championships.
