April 9, 2022 (San Diego) - The Aztec water polo team (11-14, 3-4) fell to No. 16 Pacific (11-10, 5-1) 14-8 at the Aztec Aquaplex Saturday afternoon.

SDSU outshot the Tigers 29-25 but had just a .276 shot percentage compared to Pacific’s .560.

Valhalla alum Katie Ratcliff led the Aztecs with a hat trick and Spencer Samuel and Rose Kanemy each scored twice. Karli Canale also found the back of the net while recording six steals. Ratcliff, Samuel and Kanemy all dished out an assist as well.

Pacific was led by Brianna Utas’ four goals. Emma Myall and Mariana Duarte provided a hat trick and two other Tigers scored twice.
