Update September 9, 2011: The suspect has been identified as Steven Ritter, 21. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall with a shaved head, and remains at large.
September 7, 2011 (Lakeside) – The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a suspect who shot a man in the face/neck at a Lakeside apartment near El Capitan High School this morning. The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall with blond hair, blue eyes, and tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a black T-shirt with “Deny Everything” written on it and black Dickie-type shorts.
“There are still a number of units out there,” Lt. Andrea Arreola informed ECM at 10:10 a.m. No roads are closed, she added.
The shooting occurred in the 12700 block of Mapleview Street at the Mapleview Apartment complex at 6:30 a.m. The victim was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, ECM news partner 10 News reports.
