SHOTS REPORTEDLY FIRED IN LEMON GROVE

August 7, 2015 (Lemon Grove)—Sheriff’s Deputies responded at 8 p.m. last night to a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon at 3554 West Street in Lemon Grove.

According to the reporting party, several gunshots were heard and a male was seen hiding near a backyard shed with a possible gunshot wound to his left hand. Upon arrival, deputies were unable to locate any suspects or victims.

Deputies conducted welfare checks inside three residences, looking for any possible victims. None were located. Detectives from the Rancho San Diego station responded to the scene. The investigation is in the beginning stages, said Sergeant Michelle McPhail, adding that there is no one in custody at this time.
