SHERIFF SEEKS BLACK FORD TRUCK LINKED TO SANTEE BURGLARIES

January 12, 2016 (Santee) — Crime Stoppers and Sheriff deputies in Santee seek public help to solve a crime spree involving burglaries of nine homes in Santee neighborhoods from December 14 to December 31, 2015. The suspect(s) targeted single story detached homes and forced their way in through a rear window or rear patio door. The stolen items were mainly prescription medications. Cash, electronics and tools have also been taken.

November 11, 2015 (La Mesa) – La Mesa Police have released surveillance photographs of the suspect who robbed the AM/PM Gas Station in La Mesa this past weekend. The suspect was armed with a rifle when he entered the store at approximately 1:25 AM on 11/07/15.

SPRING VALLEY MURDER OF DARIUS REEVES REMAINS UNSOLVED; SHERIFF SEEKS HELP TO FIND KILLERS

 

December 8, 2014 (San Diego's East County) - The Sheriff's Homicide Unit wants your help in finding the persons responsible for the murder of a man in the East County.

On July 1, 2014, deputies responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 9100 block of Kenwood Drive in an unincorporated area of Spring Valley. When they arrived, they found the body of a man later identified as 24-year-old Darius Reeves.

December 8, 2014 (Julian)—Sheriff’s deputies have arrested three teens reportedly caught in the act spray painting graffiti on buildings at Julian Union High School on Saturday.  They are suspected in several prior vandalism cases with damage of nearly $40,000 total.

ESCAPED INMATE MAY BE IN EAST COUNTY

 

Update: Torillo was captured Tuesday night at an El Cajon motel.  He will face charges of escaping custody in addition to drug-related charges.

September 9, 2014 (San Diego’s East County) – The Sheriff has issued a warning to residents to be on the lookout for Don Andrea Torrillo, a prisoner who escaped custody from Central Jail just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday. He was last seen wearing a dark sleeveless shirt with a star in the middle, khaki shorts and slippers. He has a tattoo on his left bicep shoulder area. He has short brown hair and eyes.

WANTED FUGITIVE - DANIEL JUAREZ MARTINEZ

 

May 31, 2014 (San Diego's East County) - The Sheriff's Department, San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force (FTF) and Crime Stoppers are asking the public to be on the lookout for Daniel Juarez Martinez. He is wanted for attacking his wife and setting fire to their home in Bonita in February of this year. He also goes by the name Daniel Catavarrias and Daniel Juarez. He has tattoos including three black circles on his right arm and the letters "DD" on his upper body. Martinez is also known to dress as a woman.

SHERIFF SEEKS HELP TO SOLVE "COLD CASE" MURDER IN EL CAJON

 

March 26, 2014 (El Cajon) – Back on the morning of September 1, 2007, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a  call at a home in the 1800 block of Hillsdale Drive in unincorporated El Cajon.  There they found Jerrad Fletcher lying face down in the living room with a gunshot wound in his back. He died at the scene.

SAN DIEGO SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT SEEKS PUBLIC HELP IN APPREHENDING WANTED FUGITIVE RAMIRO ESPINOZA

 

June 29, 2013 (San Diego)—The San Diego Sheriff's Department, Crime Stoppers and the Fugitive Task Force seek public help to locate Ramiro Espinoza, who  has a $1,000,000 arrest warrant for attempted murder, domestic violence, felony assault, as well as a felon in possession of a weapon. Espinoza has a tattoo that says "San Diego" on his stomach. He also has a tattoo picture of Jesus with a thorn crown on his back. Espinoza is known to frequent the South Bay area of the county.

If you see him, do not approach him. Espinoza has a history of violence and should be considered armed and dangerous.

HIT AND RUN DRIVER SOUGHT IN LEMON GROVE

 

May 9. 2013 (Lemon Grove) – Detectives from the Lemon Grove Sheriff's Station and Crime Stoppers want your help in finding and identifying a driver responsible for a hit-and-run that injured a woman.

It happened on April 17 at around 12:30 a.m. as an 18-year-old woman was crossing the street in the 2000 block of Lemon Grove Avenue. The car hit the victim and just kept going. A friend of the victim saw the incident. She describes the car as a small, red in color with dark tinted windows. Parts of the car were left at the scene and determined to be from a red 2005 or 2006 Toyota Corolla. A photo of a similar car is included in this NIXLE message.

THIRD ARREST MADE IN JAMUL MURDER, ARSON CASE

 

February 2, 2013 (Jamul)--Yesterday, the San Diego Sheriff announced the arrest of Quincy Sharp, 20, as an accessory to the murder of Dillon Davis. Davis’ body was found in the trunk of a burning vehicle on Skyline Truck Trail in Jamul on September 20, 2012. 

Two other suspects have previously been arrested and charged with murder: Miles Sharp (Quincy’s brother) and Devin Gaillard.

SECOND ARREST IN JAMUL MURDER, ARSON CASE

 

January 31, 2013 (Jamul) –Devin Gaillard has been arrested and charged with murder and arson.  Another suspect, Miles Sharp, was arrested January 25 on the same charges.  Both men have been booked in connection with the death of Dillon A. Davis, 20, whose body was found in the trunk of a burning vehicle on Skyline Truck Trail in Jamul on September 20, 2012.

TROLLEY PASSENGER ROBBED OF CELL PHONE

December 14, 2012 (La Mesa) – Last night at approximately 10:54  p.m., the La Mesa Police Department received a report that a female was robbed of her cell phone at the 70th Street Trolley Station, located at 7255 Alvarado Road in La Mesa. The victim reported to officers that just minutes before, she was traveling on the MTS Trolley Green Line from Fashion Valley to the Grossmont Center Station.

LA MESA POLICE APPREHEND VEHICLE BURGLARS AT GROSSMONT CENTER

November 23, 2012 (La Mesa)—At 4:07 a..m. Grossmont Center’s mall security observed a suspicious vehicle in the mall parking lot. Two male subjects were observed tampering with a vehicle before leaving in a silver two--door sedan. Grossmont Security relayed the information to La Mesa Police and officers searched the area and surrounding streets but were initially unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY AT CRICKET WIRELESS IN LA MESA

November 11, 2012 (La Mesa)--A suspect armed with a knife attempted to rob the Cricket Wireless store located at 7014 University Avenue in La Mesa. 

On November 10 around 6:27 p.m., La Mesa Police Department received a report of an attempted robbery that had just occurred at the Cricket Wireless store located at 7014 University Avenue. An employee reported that the suspect entered the store, walked behind the counter and brandished a large knife.

LA MESA MAN ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

November 1, 2012 (La Mesa)—This morning at 1:08 a.m., La Mesa Police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 8200 block of Lemon Avenue.  The  victim, 20, said he had just left his residence and walked across the street to retrieve his wallet and cell phone that he had left in his vehicle. While the victim was sitting in his vehicle, the suspect approached the driver side and tapped on the window with a black semi-automatic handgun.

TEACHER’S AIDE ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES IN LA MESA

 
July 17, 2012 (La Mesa)—La Mesa Police yesterday arrested Chrystina Delrosario, a teacher's aide at Reflections Central School, for unlawful sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old male student. 
 
Officials at the school notified the police department after receiving information that the student may have had sex with the teacher’s aide. The patrol officer was assisted by detectives, who conducted the preliminary investigation.
