SPECIAL VETERANS DAY PROGRAM

November 5, 2012 (Alpine) – The Alpine Branch of the San Diego County Library will celebrate Veterans Day with a special Power Point presentation by author, editor and book publisher Diana Saenger on Thursday, November 8. She will begin her talk with stories from her Media-Award-Winning mid-grade book, The Vietnam War: Life As A POW

Saenger will follow that account with information and hints of what will be in the book Mission Honored – A Dream Achieved; True stories of the Veterans on the Alpine Wall of Honor as told to Diana Saenger. Dan Foster, who had the idea to build the Wall of Honor, will close the presentation with a short segment about the Wall of Honor. Families are encouraged to attend.

The library currently has some copies of The Vietnam War: Life As A POW available for check out. The Women’s Coral Group will sing a musical tribute, and there will be free hot dogs, chips, sodas, and cookies. The event runs 6 – 7 p.m. at the Alpine Library, 2130 Arnold Way.
