May 9, 2012 (San Diego) --San Diego Police Department detectives from Eastern Division are investigating a series of sexual batteries that occurred in the College area this morning.

Today, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., a male suspect groped four women as they walked on College area streets.  A fourth woman saw the suspect looking into her window.

In each groping case, the suspect approached the victims as they were walking.  He either ran up behind the victim and grabbed her breasts and buttocks or grabbed the victim’s breasts as he passed her.  In two cases, the suspect pushed the victim to the ground.  The suspect did not speak to any of the victims and ran away after the attack.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, 25 to 30 years of age.  He is between 5’10” and 6’0” tall, with a thin to medium build.  He is clean shaven.  In some of the cases, he was described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.  In the later cases, he wore a blue button front shirt and black slacks.  Due to the time and distance between the incidents, it is believed the suspect used a vehicle; however, we have no description.

Anyone with information concerning these batteries is asked to contact the San Diego Police Department’s Eastern Division at (858) 495-7900 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
