Fundraiser to benefit adults with developmental disabilities

February 2, 2018 (El Cajon) -- St. Madeleine Sophie’s Auxiliary will host its first Mardi Gras Gala on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Marina Village’s Seaside Room to benefit St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center (SMSC) in El Cajon. Ticket prices for the gala cost $55 per person prior to the event or $60 per person at the door.

MARDI GRAS BALL AND MASQUERADE PARADE ROLLS OUT IN ALPINE MARCH 16

 

March 6, 2013 (Alpine) -- Ready for some revelry?  Don your best masquerade wear for a Mardi Gras Ball presented by the Alpine Mountain Empire Chamber of Commerce on March 16 in the Alpine Community Center from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. 

Festivities will include the New Orleans Band, a costume parade ($100 prize for the best), and the crowning of a Mardi Gras king and queen.  A live auction, tarot card readings and a no-host bar will also be available, along with hand-painted "never empty" signature Mardi Gras glasses for sale.

EASTER BUNNY JOINS MARDI GRAS PARADE TO BENEFIT ALPINE SCHOOLS MARCH 10

 

 

March 6, 2013 (Alpine) – The Alpine Education Foundation will present a Mardi Gras parade on March 10 from 1-4 p.m. at the Alpine Creek Town Center shopping center.  The parade will feature floats and the Easter Bunny.

Admission is free to the event, which also features a craft fair, face painting, food booths from local restaurants, West Coast Riders action photos and more.

MASKS AND BEADS HERALD MARDI GRAS SUNDAY UCCLM FEB. 10

January 13, 2013 (La Mesa) -- Tradition holds that Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) ushers in the reflective season of Lent beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 13th.  The United Church of Christ of La Mesa (UCCLM) will be celebrating that tradition on Sunday, February 10, 2013 with a Mardi Gras Sunday worship service. The public is invited to dress up (carnival masks and beads welcome!) and join in this service celebrating the joy of faith.  Music – from “Just a Closer Walk” to “When the Saints Go Marching In!” will highlight both the 8:30am (in Friendship Hall) and 10:00am (in the Sanctuary) services.

April 14, 2012 (La Mesa) – The Helix Instrumental Music Dept. will hold its Mardi Gras dinner auction on April 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Arbor Room of the La Mesa Rec Center, 4975 Memorial Drive, La Mesa.
