COUNTY OKS FUNDING FOR WATER PURIFICATION PROGRAM

July 12, 2019 (San Diego) - The County Board of Supervisors approved another step Wednesday toward increasing local drinking water supplies for East County residents.

The Board, acting as the Board of Directors for the County Sanitation District, voted to approve $2.35 million for the County’s contribution to final program development costs of the East County Advanced Water Purification Program.

REPORT: CA NINTH WORST IN NATION FOR DRINKING WATER VIOLATIONS

May 8, 2017 (Suunyvale, Calif.) - Water systems in California have the nation's ninth-worst record for violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act, according to a new report from the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

September 22, 2016 (Washington D.C.) -- Lawmakers introduced a new bill today in Congress that would increase funding to improve the safety of public drinking water systems in California and across the U.S. and set the stage for stronger warnings about contaminated tap water.

July 25, 2012 (Portrero) -- The County of San Diego, Department of Environmental Health (DEH) has issued a Boil Water Order and Public Notification for the Potrero General Store and Café drinking water system located on 25125 Highway 94, Potrero, CA 91963 effective immediately. The water system serves a general store and cafe.
