August 9, 2012 (San Diego)--Heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency that can cause brain damage, organ failure and ultimately death in pets as well as humans. Recognizing signs of heat stroke can save your dog’s life. Emergency treatment is critical. Also, simply hosing the animal down is very important.
