“BOO ON BULLYING” MASQUERADE PARTY OCT. 30

 

October 27, 2013 (San Diego) – The African American Writers & Artists, Inc. presents an anti-bullying event and masquerade party, “Boo on Bullying” on October 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Malcolm X Library and Performance Arts Center, 51458 Market Street, San Diego.  The event will include an SDSU students’ panel on Anti-Bullying Strategies, a presentation on identifying bullying and bullies, as well as entertainment, raffles and prizes.

JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION AT MALCOLM X LIBRARY JUNE 19

June 11, 2013 (San Diego) – African American Writers and Artists, Inc., San Diego in collaboration with International Action Center San Diego present a Juneteenth Celebration on June 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Malcolm X Library and Performance Arts Center, 5148 Market St., San Diego.  The event’s theme is “Are we there yet? Pulling back the curtain on Racial Equality in America.”
