PETCO TO BECOME FIRST MAJOR PET FOOD RETAILER TO NOT SELL FOOD AND TREATS WITH ARTIFICIAL INGREDIENTS

November 14, 2018 (San Diego) – Yesterday, Petco announced it will not sell food and treats containing artificial colors, flavors and preservatives* for dogs and cats by May 2019. The move makes Petco the first and only major retailer of pet food and treats to take a stand against such ingredients, reaffirming the company’s commitment to being the lifelong, trusted partner – for pets and pet parents, alike.

TRIAL TO BEGIN AGAINST PETCO IN OVER 10-YEAR-OLD DEAD OF RAT BITE FEVER

March 29, 2017 (San Diego) – Trial begins this week in a case filed against Petco for selling a pet rat with rat bite fever that killed Aidan Pankey, a 10-year-old Santee boy in 2013.

SDSU’S MENTOR PROGRAM CULTIVATES NEXT GENERATION’S LEADERS

April 5, 2012 (San Diego) -- San Diego State University’s Mentor Program is a win-win situation for students and San Diego businesses. With the participation of approximately 60 business executives from diverse companies, the program allows business seniors and graduate students to gain insight into the industries and positions that interest them, while also allowing businesses to identify students as potential interns and employees.
