GANG AND DRUG SWEEPS SNAG 26 SUSPECTS IN LA MESA

 
June 11, 2012 (La Mesa)—La Mesa Police Department reports that a Special Enforcement Detail arrested 26 people last month. The unit targets gangs, drug deals, and serial criminals.  After executing four search warrants, the unit resulted in seizure of over $20,000 in drug sales cash, two guns, over 7 ounces of methamphetamine, 5 pounds of marijuana, and 2.2 ounces of heroin.

BLOCK’S BLL TO FIGHT GANG-RELATED HUMAN TRAFFICKING, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION PASSES COMMITTEE

April 13, 2011 (Sacramento) – Legislation authored by Assemblymember Marty Block (D-AD78) to provide law enforcement with better tools to fight the growing epidemic of gang-related criminal sexual exploitation and human trafficking, cleared its first Assembly committee today. AB 918 was approved by the Assembly Public Safety Committee by a vote of 6-0.

SHERIFF CONDUCTS ANTI-GANG SWEEP IN FALLBROOK

The North County Regional Gang Task Force, in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Fallbrook Substation, conducted an anti-gang enforcement operation in Fallbrook on Saturday night, June 13th. The operation focused on all gang members residing in the jurisdiction of the Fallbrook command.
