October 3, 2012 (Lakeside)—Wildcat Canyon Road is blocked in both directions due to a rollover accident.  The driver of the vehicle, a pickup truck, is walking and does not appear seriously injured, a Barona firefighter at the scene told ECM’s marketing director, who has been stuck in traffic for over 20 minutes at the scene, where tow trucks are now arriving.

wildcat canyon accident

its time that Barona Casino built a new road   they are making oodles of money and afford a new road to by-pass this most dangerous road.  We were trying to get home yesterday and even though we llived in Lakeside, we were re-directed without an option all the way up in the mountains and eventually ended up in Ramona.  Many many miles and time consuming, plus I didn't kn ow in the heck where we were or to get home.   Ridiculous and needless to say all three of us said we will never go back to Barona Casino again.........something should be done about this very dangerous road.....there have been many accidents on this road and the patrons trying to get home must realise that at any time they will be re-routed and if you run out of gas (after giving them your monoey) well you are out of luck.......isolation in the heat!.....or?

Even though the casino does

Even though the casino does have it's own traffic, a good majority of WCC traffic is still from the people going THRU not TO....not to mention it does not matter what road or highway you are on anymore, they are ALL dangerous because there are too many people that just can't drive worth a darn.  I am up and down half a dozen times, on a good day and I am still more likely to get in an accident driving on the freeway than the hill.  Yes, people need to learn to drive more cautiously on the hill, but to assume that it was a casino guest that caused this is just wrong.  As someone has said, instead of worrying about what has caused you momentary discomfort, let's focus and pray that the person involved is safe and out of danger.
