December 12, 2017 (San Diego) - Nothing fun this week, but a bowl game looms on the horizon and head coach Rocky Long had a lot to say about the Army.  Uh, the Army Black Knights football team, that is.  He was joined by senior linebacker Tyler Morris and junior quarterback Christian Chapman.  Men's basketball head coach Brian Dutcher was also on hand.

December 12, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State’s Tyler Roemer (Fernley, Nev.) and Tariq Thompson (San Diego/St. Augustine HS) were each named to the USA Today Freshman All-America team on Tuesday. The Aztecs are one of just five schools (also Arizona, Georgia, Northwestern and Wisconsin) with multiple athletes on the team.

December 8, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s basketball team suffered its first home loss of the season in heartbreaking fashion on Friday, falling to UC Irvine by a narrow 67-65 count in front of 4,148 fans at Steve Fisher Court.

December 5, 2017 (San Diego) - Another fun-filled SDSU athlet press conference awaited the media and this week, football offensive coordinator Jeff Horton, defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales, sophomore running back Juwan Washington, senior defensive lineman Sergio Phillips and junior safety Parker Baldwin had a bowl game to talk about.  They appeared along with men's basketball head coach Brian Dutcher and women's basketball head coach Stacie Terry.

December 2, 2017 (San Diego) - Following a big win at Jenny Craig Pavilion against USD on Thursday night, SDSU men’s basketball finally returned home for a Sunday matinee against the 7-1 Bradley Braves as part of the annual Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge.  In case you were wondering, Bradley is a private university in Peoria, Illinois with 5,400 students.  This is the first time the Aztecs have seen the Braves since 1967.

December 3, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State football team has accepted an invitation to play Army West Point in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be played at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas, and will be broadcast nationally by ESPN.

Today’s announcement comes one day after the University released its detail plan for the entire Mission Valley site.

November 27, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State volleyball team had four players earn all-Mountain West honors as announced Monday by the league office. In a vote of the conference’s 11 head coaches, Deja Harris (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Devyn Pritchard (Temecula, Calif.) were both named to the all-MW team, while and Baylee Little (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Alexis Cage (Newport Beach, Calif.) received honorable mention.

KINGS GAIN SHARE OF DIVISION LEAD

November 26, 2017 (Clairemont) - The San Diego Kings may be an expansion, minor division basketball team, but they are quickly proving to be winners.
 
For the third straight outing, the Kings extended a small halftime lead into a decisive victory Saturday (Nov. 25), taking down the visiting Oakland Bayhawks 120-102. The contest made a late move to the Salvation Army Kroc Center when Grossmont College became unavailable due to the holiday.
