November 19, 2017 (San Diego) - Senior running back Rashaad Penny set an SDSU record for most all-purpose rushing yards in a game, rushing for 429 Saturday night against Nevada as the Aztecs knocked off the Wolf Pack 42-23.

November 7, 2017 (San Diego) - With a bye week this week, SDSU football head coach Rocky Long invited some of the coaches of the other Aztec sports to join in on this week’s press conference. Women’s basketball senior guards Geena Gomez and McKynzie Fort and men's basketball junior guard Jeremy Hemsley were also on hand to answer a few questions.

November 5, 2017 (San Jose) - Rashaad Penny ran for 234 yards and three touchdowns and San Diego State had 648 total yards -- including a school-record 554 rushing -- to help the Aztecs cruise to a 52-7 win over San Jose State on Saturday night.

October 31, 2017 (San Diego) - Winning after two weeks of losing is spooky indeed, and on this Halloween, Aztecs football head coach Rocky Long, junior quarterback Christian Chapman and sophomore cornerback Ron Smith sat down with the media at this week's press conference.

October 29, 2017 (Honolulu) - Rashaad Penny ran 30 times for a career-high 253 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday night and San Diego State beat Hawaii 28-7.

Penny led the way with runs on all six plays of a 99-yard drive when the Aztecs (7-2, 3-2 Mountain West Conference) broke away early in the fourth quarter.

October 24, 2017 (San Diego) - SDSU football suffered another loss last week.  This one was worse; the Aztecs only managed a field goal and lost 27-3 to Fresno State.  Things are getting tense in Aztec Nation, and this week, head coach Rocky Long, senior wide out Quest Truxton and junior linebacker Ronley Lakalaka sat down with the media to calm the storm.

October 1, 2017  (San Diego) - No. 19/21 San Diego State moved to 5-0 for the first time since 1975 after earning a hard-fought 34-28 triumph over Northern Illinois Saturday night in front of 35,717 fans at SDCCU Stadium.

September 24, 2017 (Colorado Springs, Colo.) - San Diego State football squeezed out a four-point victory Saturday night against Air Force in the cold, windy, rainy weather in Colorado.  With the win, SDSU moves to 4-0 for the first time since 1981.

September 19, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior cornerback Kameron Kelly (Murphy, Texas) has been named the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week, the Football Writers Association of America announced Tuesday. Kelly is just the second Aztec to win the prestigious weekly award and first since Matt McCoy on Sept. 18, 2004.

Penny was chosen as the MW Offensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, while Kelly was chosen as the MW Defensive Player of the Week for the first time of his career.

September 11, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State football team swept the Mountain West weekly awards after a 30-20 victory at Arizona State on Saturday, the league announced Monday. Senior Rashaad Penny (Norwalk, Calif.) became the first player in MW history to win two of the three awards in a single week, capturing both the offensive and special teams award, while junior Noble Hall (Las Vegas) picked up the MW Defensive Player-of-the-Week award.

September 10, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior Rashaad Penny (Norwalk, Calif.) has been named the Walter Camp National FBS Offensive Player of the Week, the Walter Camp Foundation presented by Generation UCAN announced Sunday. He became the first Aztec to ever win the Walter Camp Offensive Player-of-the-Week award and the second on either side of the ball (also linebacker Calvin Munson on Sept. 6, 2015).

September 10, 2017 (Tempe, Ariz.) - Rashaad Penny accounted for 353 all-purpose yards and scored three different ways, leading San Diego State to a convincing 30-20 victory over Arizona State on Saturday night.

The run-heavy Aztecs (2-0) rolled over the Sun Devils from the start, with Penny bursting through for a 95-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
