September 28, 2016 (Wolcott, Colo.) - San Diego State successfully defended its team title at the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Wednesday after posting a 54-hole total of 2-over-par 866 at Red Sky Golf Club. Despite firing a collective 11-over 299 during the final round, the Aztecs emerged victorious by eight shots over two second-place squads Denver and Pepperdine (+10), while Old Dominion, Tennessee and Washington State all tied for fourth at 17-over for the week.

September 25, 2016 (San Diego) - Redshirt senior Travis Nicklaw drilled the golden goal in the fifth minute of the first overtime Sunday to lift the No. 11/11 San Diego State men’s soccer team to a thrilling 1-0 triumph over crosstown adversary San Diego at SDSU Sports Deck. With the win, the Aztecs recorded their sixth shutout of the year, improving to 5-1-2 overall, while the Toreros slip to 3-3-3 on the season.

September 25, 2016 (San Diego) - San Diego State rallied from a 2-1 set deficit to defeat visiting Utah State in five sets (26-28, 25-19, 24-26, 25-7, 15-13) Saturday evening on Aztec Court. The win was the fifth in the last six outings for the Aztecs, who improved to 9-6 overall and 1-0 in the Mountain West. Utah State, meanwhile saw its record drop to 6-7 (1-1 MW).

September 20, 2016 (San Diego) - San Diego State came up short in its annual match against No. 7 University of San Diego as it fell to the Toreros in three sets (25-21, 25-19, 26-24) Tuesday evening on Aztec Court. The win was the eighth in a row for the visitors, who improved to 9-2 on the season while SDSU saw its four-match win streak end and its record fall to 8-6.
