March 22, 2017 (Santee) – To commemorate Tuesday, March 28 as the American Diabetes Association’s “Alert Day,” the nine Chick-fil-A restaurants in San Diego County, including the Chick-fil-A restaurant at 9418 Mission Gorge Road, Santee, will giveaway free food to customers who find out their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

June 20, 2016 (Santee) – Santee resident Tracy Sundlun, senior VP of global events, Competitor Group, was recently honored by the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) San Diego office with a 2016 Father of the Year award.

UCSD FINDS PROTEIN THAT INDUCES DIABETES

June 18, 2014 (San Diego) -- Researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine have, for the first time, described the sequence of early cellular responses to a high-fat diet, one that can result in obesity-induced insulin resistance and diabetes.
