Help launch community radio for East County - why it's important

KNSJ will be nonprofit media broadcasting out of Descanso - the heart of fire country, folks! Imagine being able to get wildfire alerts on air live, so you can get timely information.  East County Magazine hopes to produce a daily local news report with updates on all the important news specific to East County, as well as some top San Diego stories.  We eventually hope to have a weekly news magazine program, which can include interviews with local newsmakers and experts on the topics of interest to people in our region.  KNSJ will also have local programming featuring local musics, comedians, etc. In addition they want to bring in some national syndicated radio programs and news talk shows such as Amy Goodman's Democracy Now.

Some programming will have a progressive bent, though ECM's will as always be focused on bringing you the strongest arguments on all sides. We aren't afraid to include views critical of leaders in all parties (such as Romney's choice of a veterans' advisor who previously resigned amid scandals at the VA on his watch, or Obama's turning over public lands to energy developers.)  Our show will keep you up to date on local politics, weather, land use issues, fire dangers, traffic, and cover some fun stuff too--such as festivals and cool local events.

Help keep our region safe and informed with local programming devoted to our communities!

Brew HA HA Rocks!

I don't know why anyone would say anything negative about the Brew HA HA shows. I have attended many, many shows and I have never experienced a bad one.In response to your rude comments about Diane Jean being dead pan, you couldn't be more wrong. I have watched her create a frenzy of laughter in all of her shows and her "tall" material is hilarious. The comedians are very funny, they have original material, they are intellegent enough to not have to use the "F" bomb constantly and they promote all comics, not just the straight white male.
I also love the 7:00 start time,we the people with jobs,I like that they feature only 4 or 5 comics, not 20 to 30 and I've never felt offended by any of the comics or their material.
I'll bet that the person with the negative comments about the Brew HA HA has never been to a comedy show.
