November 20, 2016 (San Diego’s East County) – The National Weather Service is forecasting a winter-like storm system will arrive Sunday and continue through the day on Monday. The brunt of this storm system will come after dark Sunday evening, and continue through Monday morning. A wind advisory is also in effect for mountain and desert areas in San Diego County, where gusts up to 55 miles per hour may occur.
Pockets of heavy rain in the mountains will be a concern for recent wildfire burn scars, and may produce debris flows. Urbanized street flooding will also be possible. Accumulating snow is expected above 6000 feet, especially in the San Bernardino Mountains, where snow could bring travel delays and restrictions.
The storm system is predicted to exit the region Monday afternoon.

To Rain or Not to Rain
My rain gauge in Lemon Grove recorded a quarter inch of rain (0.26"). Why do the local weather personalities go so loco?
It rained all night here steadily. Not sure how much
we got on Mt. Helix but everytime I woke up (which was frequently, due to recent dental surgery/pain) I could hear the rain falling.
